Mineral Insulated Thermocouples
Semi Rigid thermocouples manufactured from mineral insulated stainless steel sheathed thermocouple cable.
These thermocouples are used in a variety of processes as their many characteristics make them a good choice for general and special purpose use, their ruggedness and moderately high temperature range make them a popular choice for a multitude of temperature sensing environments.
Clad in various grades of stainless steel and supplied as Simplex, Duplex or Triplex with a choice of insulated or grounded junctions.
There are several types of mineral insulated thermocouple, each labeled with letters according to their constituent metals, the popular K type for example is made up of Chrome & Alumel, the metals give the thermocouple differing properties such as temperature ranges and accuracy.
